EASYCUT NMO241 is a chlorine-free, mineral-oil-based neat cutting oil with a viscosity of 24 mm²/s (ISO 24), used undiluted for medium-duty machining, deep-hole drilling and broaching. It covers carbon and alloy steel, cast iron, aluminum and yellow metals. Balanced EP additives give a good surface finish and low tool wear where the load is too high for a thin oil.
For light work and small drills, the thinner NMO121 (ISO 12) flows better; for gear cutting and heavy cuts, the thicker NMO361 (ISO 36).
Twice the viscosity of NMO121 means a stronger film between edge and chip, less smoke and mist under load and a higher flash point — above 190 °C against above 160 °C. The cost is slower draining: a little more oil leaves the machine on parts and chips, and small drills get less flow at the same pump pressure. If a job smokes on NMO121, NMO241 is the next step; if it clogs small drills, go back.
NMO241 can usually be mixed with other mineral-based neat cutting oils of similar viscosity. Check first: a small amount of both in a clear jar for 24 hours. If nothing separates, they can go into the machine together.

The 55-gallon drum is the working size for machines that run NMO241 every day, at a lower price per litre. For a broaching machine with a small reservoir, a trial or topping up, take the 5-gallon pail. Safe handling is covered in the SDS. More neat oils: cutting oils.
