In CNC lathe operations, a frequent necessity is the automated extension of a bar from the chuck to a specific length, a task typically performed by bar pullers or bar extractors. These tools are essential for the precise and controlled movement of bar stock during the machining process.
Situated close to the chuck, cnc bar pullers are equipped with clamping mechanisms that firmly grasp the bar stock. They operate in tandem with the CNC system, enabling the automatic advancement and retraction of the bar as the machining cycle demands.
A Bar Puller is a completely mechanical device, utilizing a spring for operation. It offers adjustability for various diameters using a lateral screw, and the extraction of the workpiece from the spindle is executed following a pre-set program. VDI 40 bar puller is capable of handling workpieces as small as approximately 15-20mm in length. It can manage a wide spectrum of diameters, ranging from 0mm (fully closed) to 52mm, and is powerful enough to pull bars weighing as much as 25kg.
