The refractometer factor or Brix factor for CNC fluid concentrate is a multiplier used to convert the refractometer readings (Brix scale) into the actual concentration of the emulsion (concentrate + water).
EASYCUT PRO399 in a 270-gallon (1022 L) tote — for shops where brass, bronze and copper are the daily work and every machine should run the same coolant. Additives keep copper out of the emulsion; the tote has the lowest price per litre of the three sizes.
Bar-fed lathes and Swiss-type machines turning brass fittings and bronze bushings go through a lot of coolant, and in an ordinary emulsion the dissolved copper decides how long it lasts. PRO399 holds copper flat, so a central system or a row of machines can run on it longer. At 7 % one tote makes roughly 3,850 gallons of working coolant — and it also handles the steel and aluminum jobs in between.
The shelf life sets the pace: unopened, PRO399 keeps for 12 months, so the tote should be used at about 22 gallons (85 litres) of concentrate a month. If the shop uses less, take 55-gallon drums.
Store it indoors, away from frost and direct sun. Mix straight from the tote with the EASYMIX coolant mixer on the IBC adapter and bracket, set from 7 %. Check sumps with a refractometer, factor 1.3.
The copper test results and full technical data are on the PRO399 drum page.
