The SM1T40iH2 is a premium CAT40 (CT40) shell mill holder engineered to ANSI B5.50 standards, tailored for precision machining. Designed for face mills with a Ø 1” arbor hole, this holder ensures reliable and secure mounting for stable performance. Face mills are specialized tools for machining large, flat surfaces, and the shell configuration refers to the tool’s design, featuring a hole to mount it onto the holder.

With a 2-inch gage length, this toolholder offers optimal reach and rigidity for various milling applications. Constructed from alloyed case-hardened steel with a blackened and bright finish, it provides exceptional durability and resistance to wear. Balanced to G2.5 at 25,000 RPM, it guarantees smooth performance at high speeds. The toolholder features a thread size of 1/2”-20 for mounting the face mill, a taper tolerance of AT3, a hardness range of HRC 58-62, and a carbon depth of 0.8±0.2mm for extended service life. With a surface roughness of Ra 0.005mm and AD cooling capability, the SM1T40iH2 is designed to deliver precision and efficiency in demanding machining operations.
