Radial: this classic type of bmt tool holders features a slot for the shank positioned perpendicular to the rotation axis of the workpiece.
Axial or bmt facing tool holder: here, the slot for the tool is positioned parallel to the rotation axis, allowing for efficient groove machining.

The 128-41509 belongs to the first type, but allows to hold 2 turning cutters 25mm x 25mm square shank from 2 oposite sides, which can be usufull for machines with second spindle. this holder is compatible with the following okuma machine tool models, equipped with a BMT60 turret:
