Self-centering 5-axis CNC vises

This category covers EASYCUT self-centering vises designed for multi-axis machining. All models use a manual, two-way centering mechanism (no external power source). The vise line is built around interchangeable jaw types, reversible jaw orientation (to extend clamping range), adjustable centering, and repeat positioning accuracy up to 0.015 mm.

Jaw widths and typical configurations

Standard jaw widths are 80, 100, and 125 mm, depending on series and model. Body length options are commonly 200 mm and 250 mm for rectangular-base vises. Rotary-base vises are available with round base diameters designed for direct mounting to rotary tables.

Series overview

• O Series (Original) - baseline self-centering vise without dedicated zero-point or rotary mounting. Same clamping concept and component quality as other series.
• Z Series (Zero-point adapted) - designed to work with zero-point positioning systems (interfaces can be adapted by system or adapter plate depending on setup). Pull studs and zero-point chucks are not included.
• E Series (Encapsulated) - encapsulated, chip-free design with the driving shaft fully covered. Intended for easier cleaning and maintenance, especially for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials.
• R Series (Rotary table adapted) - round-base models intended for direct mounting on rotary tables or round indexing units.

Jaw types (workholding options)

Jaw Type I - modular bolt-on jaw inserts

• Two-piece jaw design for universality and replaceability
• Top inserts are bolted on and can be changed for different applications
• Common for general-purpose clamping and quick jaw insert swaps

Jaw Type II - monoblock jaws with replaceable inserts

• One-piece jaw body for a simpler jaw structure
• Replaceable insert concept remains available, depending on model
• Suitable when a monoblock jaw geometry is preferred, while keeping insert flexibility

Jaw Type III - jaw carriers for custom fixturing (odd-shaped parts)

• Developed for odd-shaped parts and custom setups
• Designed as a reusable jaw carrier for customer-made soft jaws or custom fixtures
• Typically provided with M6 threaded hole pattern and positioning features (for repeatable mounting)

Center fixed jaw option (double clamping)

All series can be equipped with an optional center fixed jaw to clamp two workpieces in one setup (double clamping). Center fixed jaw inserts are available with flat or toothed profiles.

Dovetail inserts (optional)

Dovetail inserts are optional for all series. Sets are available in different jaw widths and can be used for dovetail-style workholding where applicable.
